When Newquay Airport re-opens it is planned to operate some of the most advanced passenger health checks in the world.

At the departure gate and the arrivals door everybody will have to file past a Cornish cat and a Cornish Labrador, which have been highly trained to detect diseases.

The cat will go ‘miaow’ if it thinks you are unwell. The Labrador will give every passenger a good sniff and will bark if he thinks you are ill.

Then everybody will have had a Cat scan and a Lab test.
