So you’ve only today and tomorrow to feast on the cheap…

The 31st October is hoving into view at a rate of knots. On the one hand you can start collecting chocolate and sweets for the annual Trick ‘n Treat brigade, or much more productively you could deflate, wrap up, or otherwise remove your tenders from the pram racks on the quay and take them away...

The annual bean feast (see menu below) also known as the Club Laying-up Supper will be held on Saturday 26th October at 1900 for 1930 (or 7 pm for 7.30 pm for land based members…). The menu  will consist of:  Smoked Salmon on a bed of Watercress with horseradish creme fraiche Chicken wrapped in Parma...

For those of you who may not have noticed, Roast Lunches are back on Sundays at the Club. Sign up in the club-room, but remember numbers are limited! No more peeling spuds, cooking, or washing up. Bliss…

This was going to be about our shiny new stainless steel railings, but an equinoctial  tide driven on by Hurricane Lorenzo has competed for dramatic photos. Mind you, the railings are very smart. And yes, the remaining few galvanised bits will be replaced shortly.  

In a change to the racing programme for October, there will now be a race held on Saturday October 5th , starting at 10.30 and another on Saturday 12th October starting at 16.30. Both will be run conditions permitting.

club racing today has been cancelled. weather permitting there will be two races tomorrow.

This weekend showcases the last cup race of the season. Last year Storm Ali got in the way. This year the forecast is good!
