Clubhouse temporary closure notice

The Sailing Club will be CLOSED from Monday 26th February for the week to enable floor works to be carried out.

This will include closure on Friday night 2nd March (Fish night) and Sunday 4th March (Roast Carvery lunch) We will be closed to all of our regular groups that week, such as Bridge, Quay Quilters and Yoga.

This closure should give time for the floor works to be completed and the furniture and fittings to be reinstated, which will have all had to be removed from the Clubroom. 40 years of varnish, stain and polish will be stripped from the Clubroom floor, as well as the old carpet in the bar area. The floor will be taken back to bare, pine boards before being professionally oiled.

We will endeavour to be up and running as from Monday 5th March, which means usual groups, activities etc. will be up and running, and Fish Night on Friday 9th, Roast Carvery on Sunday 11th (Mothering Sunday) will all be OPEN! If you know any members who might not be signed up for the mailing list, or other group members please pass this onto them.

I apologise to Members for the inconvenience for just one week, but we look forward to welcoming everyone back the following week to a fresh new look! Keep an eye on the club website for any further updates on this.
